Swiss Curaprox toothbrushes: product features, best models

The Swiss company Curaden offers consumers a wide range of products and devices for oral hygiene: toothpastes, gels, sets of brushes for cleaning the oral cavity. Among the range of products manufactured by the company are Curaprox toothbrushes, which are very popular among dentists and consumers .

Product Features and Benefits

The dental community has long appreciated the quality of the products of the Swiss company Curaden, produced under the brands Curasept, Curadent and Curaprox. The advantages of Curaprox toothbrushes are as follows:

  • They have a huge number of bristles - depending on the model of the product, there can be from one and a half to twelve thousand. Thanks to this feature, ideal cleaning of teeth and gums is ensured without increasing the duration of cleaning.
  • Manufactured using special non-traumatic CUREN® bristles – the company’s personal patent.

The bristles, made of a polymer material famous for its increased softness and flexibility, do not lose their functional qualities over time, do not break or wrinkle.

Curaprox. How I chose a toothbrush, dentist's review.

What do you think is the most common question I hear from patients? Yes, you yourself probably asked this to your dentist: “And you yourself, doctor, what do you use to brush your teeth?” To be honest, the dentist profession leaves its mark on some aspects of my life.

Firstly, and this is a purely personal opinion - a dentist has no right to have (excuse the tautology) an ugly smile! You can, of course, remember the “shoemaker without boots,” but you must admit that a hairdresser with unkempt hair is unlikely to inspire the client’s trust. Here, a big thank you to my parents, my genes are fine and I’m happy with my teeth!

Secondly, taking care of the daily hygiene of my teeth and the oral health of each member of my family becomes a matter of professional honor and, to be honest, has a tinge of mania)). I have personally tried a huge number of brushes, dental floss and toothpastes. Starting from purchases in the nearest supermarket and ending with copies of beauty pharmacies in Europe.

The search stopped 8 years ago, when at the autumn International Dental Salon in Moscow, during a break between studies in the huge exhibition pavilion, I saw the Curaprox stand and froze, surprised by the unusual design. I still remember the first brush I bought then - pink with light green bristles. By the way, I also remember because I used it for 6 (!!!) months, until the next exhibition in the spring, because at that time they were not sold anywhere in Togliatti, and I could not part with it! Do not follow this example under any circumstances; brushes should be changed once every 3 months, especially since now you can purchase them in numerous online stores and here at Aldente.

In this article I will give two descriptions of this brush. The first is mine, as is customary on review sites, with the pros and cons from the consumer with the same imprint of the profession, the second is information from the manufacturer’s website.

//youtu.be/aAMXNunz9b8

So, the first thing that fundamentally distinguishes this brush from the rest is its appearance. For many years now, unpacking the order with the new arrival of Curaprox brushes, we never cease to be surprised by the color solutions! Bright, stylish, tonic colors and their new combinations that can be matched to any pajamas or bathroom interior)), and each family member will not mistakenly grab someone else’s brush, even if 4 generations live in your house together!

Next is a comfortable handle with edges. Whoever noticed the cross - well done, this is a sign of Switzerland, the products of this country have an image of high quality.

The working head is even smaller by eye than the average brush. It’s immediately clear that this is super convenient for cleaning in segments of 2 teeth, as recommended by dentists. And the most important thing - stubble! No other brush is so thick and soft!! What do you think 5460 means? This is not an article number, this is, attention (!) the number of bristles!! This is in the ultrasoft brush, ultrasoft, there are 5460 of them. There is also a supersoft brush, supersoft-3960 and a soft brush, soft - 1560 bristles, respectively. All this together provides a comfortable, atraumatic for the gums, thorough and competent (from the point of view of professionals) teeth cleaning. In addition, each brush comes with a protective cap. There is no need to put it on a damp brush every time after use, since it is intended only for transporting brushes when traveling.

At Kuraproks, everything is thought out to the smallest detail; it is a whole brand of dental hygiene. As for toothbrushes alone, they are intended for children of different ages, for teenagers, for those with braces, and for patients after surgical interventions. By the way, surgical brushes have as many as 12,000(!!!) bristles! They also produce limited editions with unusual designs - with a heart for lovers, using motifs from Michelangelo’s paintings, winter sets, etc. In general, not a boring product!!

Regularly replacing the brush always feels a little sad, because it hardly wears out. And also because this attribute for daily hygiene is very pleasant to use. But my husband is especially pleased with the pedantry in replacing brushes every three months. He gets used brushes, which are given a second life! He has a creative profession and he comes up with very creative leather items. So, in leather technology there are a lot of applications of various toning, impregnating, protective and other substances.

Here Curaprox can be used both as a soft elastic brush and as a kind of small shoe brush for polishing wax coatings and creams. And only he knows how many uses he finds for brushes in the manufacture of equipment. All I know for certain is that every process in the workshop is described in detail, and in front of some operations it says “only Curaprox!” According to him, Curaprox brushes are amazingly suitable for this and there is no alternative among special tools! I also know from many patients who are “hooked” on Curaprox as tightly as I am that they do not throw away old brushes, but use them to clean jewelry, keyboards from debris, to care for cacti, and to remove dust from figurines. etc.!

But I can’t help but note 2 disadvantages of these brushes. But they are both relative.

The first is that you really get hooked on them. This again is purely my personal opinion. But during the period of sanctions, I was seriously worried only about Kuraproks)), because I don’t see any alternatives and I don’t want to look for them. And the second is the price. Yes, this is a product from Europe and the price depends on euro fluctuations. We can't do anything about this. But you can afford a brush that costs 430 rubles for 3 months when you take hygiene issues seriously.

And now a description from the manufacturer's website.

Curaprox toothbrushes traditionally have a huge number of positive reviews among patients and dentists and the best plaque removal. This is made possible by ultra-soft CUREN® fibers and a compact brush head with a straight octagonal handle. It is also impossible not to highlight the 36 (!!!) color variations of the handle and bristles of the 5460 brushes, which allow you to choose your favorite color of your brush! How do the bristles of Curaprox brushes differ from other similar ones? CUREN® bristles are made of polyester, unlike conventional toothbrushes, which are made entirely of nylon. The water absorption of polyester is six times lower than that of nylon, so even when wet, CUREN® bristles retain their original elasticity and plasticity. The stiff, thick bristles of regular toothbrushes make it difficult to remove plaque from the gingival crevice without applying excessive pressure. As a result, either plaque remains in the gingival sulcus or the gums are damaged. With Curaprox toothbrushes, only minimal pressure is required to remove plaque from the gingival crevice without damaging the gums. Choose the best for your smile, buy Curaprox!

In our clinic, toothbrushes are always available! And you can purchase them every day, seven days a week, from 9:00 to 19:00!

About dentistry or what expensive toothpastes can do

If you regularly read Beautician, then you remember what a flood of posts about pastes there was here three months ago. Against the backdrop of these battles, it was even inconvenient to write something about my pastas. Now the excitement has subsided, so I decided to add my modest... For information: I buy all the pastes, as well as all cosmetics, with my own money. This is not very good for the wallet, but it is good for objectivity. Therefore, I’ll “take a look” at the highly advertised paste in Kosmetist

Let's start the horse with teeth with my initial data.
I have 32 teeth, all mine, in good condition, but prone to sensitivity. Once every six months I do ultrasonic cleaning. Five years ago I had whitening done for the first and only time. The worst thing that happens to my teeth is coffee. I drink an indecent amount of coffee: at least 5 double espressos and 1 flat white or raf per day. The stunt was performed by a professional stuntman, please do not try to repeat it yourself

Thus, from a toothpaste I need: 1) whitening after deciliters of coffee, 2) a feeling of cleanliness and freshness, 3) sensitivity relief, 4) the absence of fluoride in the composition - pastes with fluoride are contraindicated for me, well, love, beauty, happiness and long life years of life wouldn't hurt either.

Now I have 3 pastes in simultaneous use. This is not the first time I’ve bought all three, and I’ve used each of them “solo” before, so I can compare them objectively and authoritatively. Let there be a battle...

Curaprox Enzycal Zero

Relieves sensitivity with the second application.
Very effectively removes plaque due to enzymes. If you brush your teeth with Curaprox at night, in the morning you will have fresh breath and a feeling of clean teeth - this is a clear indicator of high quality cleaning. It does not have a pronounced whitening effect. It has a weak sweetish taste, without mint. I especially want to note its cool composition without fluoride, SLS, triclosan and other disgrace: Water, sorbitol, silicic acid, glycerin, steareth-20, titanium dioxide, flavor, disodium phosphate dihydrate, carrageenan, sodium chloride, citric acid, sodium benzoate, potassium thiocyanate, glucose oxidase, amyloglucosidase, lactoperoxidase.

Conclusion Duration of use: more than 3 years (more than 6 packs) Cost: about 850 rubles Rating: 5+ Curaprox Zero has been my dental love for many years. Looking ahead, I will say that of the three pastes, Curaprox is the best.

Theodent Kids with Rennou

The most important thing about this paste is the great taste of good milk chocolate.
I love brushing my teeth with Theodent in the morning - it's a great mood lifter. Does not contain fluoride. Theodent relieves sensitivity after 3-4 applications. Indeed, it does whiten: at least Theodent removes coffee stains perfectly. At the same time , it copes with bacteria less effectively than Curaprox

. If you brush your teeth with Theodent at night, your breathing in the morning will be generally normal, but not as ideal as after Curaprox. So I mix Theodent (in the morning) and Curaprox (at night).

Conclusion Duration of use: more than 2 years (3 packs) Cost: about 2700 rubles Rating: 5- A very pleasant and useful toy. Those who can afford it, I advise you to try it; those who can’t, don’t be upset, this is not the most necessary beauty purchase in life.

Biorepair Intensive Night Repair

I’m buying this paste for the second time: the first time I bought it out of interest, the second time because of the lack of more decent alternatives in the pharmacy.
It has a minty taste closer to bright. Usually Biorepair relieves tooth sensitivity after a week of use, but in particularly advanced cases (for example, in an extremely cold winter) it may not relieve it at all. I didn't notice any whitening effect. If you brush your teeth with Biorepair at night, in the morning your teeth will not feel plaque, but your breath will not be very fresh. Conclusions: Duration of use: more than 1.5 years with interruptions (2 packs) Cost: about 800 rubles Rating: 4-

In general, the paste is not bad: after it, teeth stay in a well-groomed and clean condition longer than after ROCS or SPLAT. If I didn’t have Curaprox, perhaps I would give it a 5, but I have Curaprox and I see the difference that there is a paste that is understandably expensive and there is a paste that is expensive but does not work for many people better than usual.

Philosophical

Is it worth spending money on expensive pastes? If you use a regular brush
, a lot depends on the quality of the paste. If the paste does not clean well, the feeling of plaque on the teeth will appear after a couple of hours. I had the same problem with SPLAT toothpastes: I constantly wanted to brush my teeth.

Electric brushes

mechanically clean teeth much better, but are harsher on teeth and gums. Owners of an electric toothbrush often need a toothpaste that effectively reduces tooth sensitivity.

The coolest brushes are ultrasonic

. They clean not only mechanically, but also with ultrasound. The lucky owners of such a brush will like the paste for both 100 and 1000 rubles.

Each brush takes some getting used to. For example, I like to meditatively clean each tooth with a good soft brush, rather than using an electric or ultrasonic brush. Therefore, on the one hand, I save on a brush, but at the same time I have to spend more on quality pastes. Which option is right for you?

Toothbrush CURAPROX CURAPROX CS 5460 “Ultra soft” - reviews

I became acquainted with the products of the Swiss company CURADENT several years ago during one of my European trips. At first, the stand with the company’s products in the shopping center attracted my attention with its pleasing design, and then the brushes themselves attracted my attention with their colorful colors. I bought a pack of three, so to speak, “for testing” - before the moment of purchase I had never heard of this manufacturer, and no wonder: in Russia the brand began to distribute more or less actively through networks of dental clinics and pharmacies not so long ago.

Having tried the brush that same evening, I experienced real ecstasy: THIS IS IT!!! What I subconsciously expected from a toothbrush for so long, but could never get from either professional or, especially, mass-market products: it cleans your teeth perfectly without damaging your gums!

I’ve always believed that plaque on teeth can be removed efficiently using an exceptionally hard brush with elongated bristles that reach all hard-to-reach places. I used these for the time being - until the problem of gum sensitivity appeared. The hard bristles became unbearable, my gums were bleeding, I had to switch to professional, very soft brushes. However, gum-friendly bristles did not completely solve the problem of plaque. I had to constantly look for a compromise between dental health and gum health =(

CURAPROX 5460 “Ultrasoft” brush solves BOTH problems at once! It cleans teeth superbly thanks to a considerable number of soft elastic bristles (the numbers in the name of the brush model indicate exactly the number of these same magical bristles: 3960 “Supersoft” of medium hardness and 1560 “Soft” the stiffest of the entire line - I tried them all, but settled on the softest option, because it cleans plaque from my teeth best). The bristles (even in the simply “Soft” version, not to mention “Ultra”) are really SOFT, and do not cause any discomfort to either the gums or sensitive teeth (a friend with bare necks of her teeth is saved only by them). A very convenient cap that covers the head of the brush allows you to carry it with you in your purse without fear of getting the contents of the bag wet and dirtying the brush itself.

And - I’ll tell you a secret, friends: the dentist who cares about the health of my smile learned about this brush from me and now she also uses only it

I recommend to all! The price is a little higher than average, but when you buy an economical pack of 3 pieces, it turns out to be profitable, and there is enough for all family members at once! And treating teeth after poor oral hygiene is much more expensive

Good luck to everyone and healthy strong teeth!

PS: by the way, I never throw away used brushes - they are great for cleaning and polishing jewelry (girls, take note!) and for some other household manipulations.
